We are pleased to announce that we have supported Respect Energy Holding S.A. (“REH”), a leading European trader of electricity from renewable energy sources, in concluding the Memorandum of Understanding with Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD Nikšić (“EPCG”), the national power company of Montenegro, on the development and operation of renewable energy projects in Montenegro (“MOU“).
The projects under the MOU involve development and commissioning of an offshore windfarm with an approximate production capacity of 2 GW, the development of an ammonia and hydrogen production plant equipped with an 800 MW electrolyser, and development of accompanying battery energy storage, and solar power plant.
MVJ congratulates both parties on this milestone and applauds their commitment to fostering development of renewable energy projects in the Balkans, in line with the Sofia Declaration on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. We are excited to be a part of this project and look forward to working with Respect Energy Holding and EPCG to bring these renewable energy projects to fruition.
